    One of the main ingredients in Daily Kick Tonic and Brain Boost is organic Peruvian ginger. Did you know that ginger has been used in traditional medicine for over 5000 years in China and India?[1]Ginger is referred to as a superfood for good reasons. Ginger contains high amounts of gingerol. Gingerol is a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory, anticancer and antioxidant properties.[2]Research studies are showing that ginger may help to alleviate symptoms related to rheumatoid arthritis, as well as osteoarthritis.[3]Ginger is also known for helping to reduce nausea[4]and aids in digestion.[5]Studies are currently being conducted on using ginger to create new medications to help treat Alzheimer’s disease.[6]A study has also found ginger to enhance the working memory in middle aged women.[7]

  • Turmeric

    Both Daily Kick Tonic and Daily Kick Brain Boost use organic dried turmeric as one of their base ingredients.

    Curcumin, a compound found in turmeric, is known for having
    anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties as well as being a strong antioxidant. A study has shown that the anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin have helped to reduced swelling and tenderness in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.[1]
    Curcumin, which is a compound in turmeric, has been found to boost memory and cognitive functions in people with Alzheimer’s disease.[2]
    Studies have shown that curcumin also helps to reduce symptoms of depression.[3]

    Black pepper helps the body to absorb curcumin.[4]

  • Black Pepper

    Piperine, a major component in black pepper, has been found to
    potentially improve brain function and reduce symptoms of depression.[2] In addition, piperine has the potential to treat Parkinson’s Disease.[3]

  • Reishi Extract

    Reishi has been used in Chinese medicine for 2,000 years to help treat and prevent different diseases.[1] It is referred to as the longevity mushroom for its promotion of health and vitality. Reishi is known for having immune boosting properties. Beta-glucans, a type of polysaccharides in mushrooms, have been found to enhance the activity
    of macrophages in the immune system. [2]

    Recent studies have shown that reishi also has cancer fighting properties. [3] In addition, reishi has been shown to help fight fatigue and help with hepatic health. [4]

    Daily Kick Tonic contains reishi extract. It is a double-extraction tincture made from reishi
    mushrooms grown locally in the Catskills. We chose to use the double-extraction method in order to ensure that the extract contains both water-soluble beta-glucans and alcohol-soluble triterpenes.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

    Both Daily Kick Tonic and Daily Kick Brain Boost have organic and
    unfiltered raw apple cider vinegar as an ingredient. Apple cider vinegar is
    full of polyphenols, which are a type of antioxidant. These are known to help lessen inflammation and protect the body from certain types of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.[1]

    A recent study from Arizona State University has found consuming
    apple cider vinegar daily helps to improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression.[2]

  • Maple Syrup

    Maple syrup is used in both Daily Kick Tonic and Daily Kick Brain Boost. Maple syrup contains 24 different types of antioxidants.[1] In addition, it also contains calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, and manganese[2].
    A recent study shows that maple syrup has the potential help prevent Alzheimer’s disease.[3] An extract from maple syrup has been found to help prevents the clumping of specific proteins in the brain which leads to Alzheimer’s disease.[4]

    Blueberry juice is a main ingredient in Daily Kick Brain Boost. Blueberries
    are rich in the types of flavonoids called anthocyanins[1]. These compounds have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
